You may remember my friend and Interior Decorator, Kirsten Nease from
her beautiful home tour. She has recently completed a bedroom make-over
in a bold dark Plum color.
The homeowner wanted to use the very traditional New England boat scene (behind chair) in the room. It ultimately led Kirsten to use the deep plum paper. The wing chair was in maroon velvet ... now in a beautiful lavender damask by Manuel Canovas.
My favorite pieces in the room are the acrylic night stands ~ traditional in form but modern in substance.
Kirsten states "They are very functional in size for nightstands but do not visually take up space or block the light or view from the window... we used 2 for symmetry in an asymetrical room."
To let you see the dramatic change, below is the before shot.
Thank you Kirsten for sharing your beautiful bedroom makeover with us!
